Is Your Business Growing?
Are you hiring now, or do you plan to in the future? Are you ready to take on new clients? Are you looking at bigger offices?
If you answered yes to any of these questions, then chances are potential employees and clients are checking you and your website out to gauge interest in working with you as a customer or employee. They are probably looking at your website’s ABOUT or CAREER page. Who works for you? What will it feel like to work with you? Are you relatable? Your future partners and colleagues want to know. You can showcase all of this with workplace photography.
Show People Who You Are
When I seek positions at companies, or if I am curious about potential business partners, I judge a company based on their website’s design and content. In some cases a company truly doesn’t have what I’m looking for, but oftentimes a company does have a lot to offer and is simply not presenting the people and environment in a comprehensive or compelling way. Maybe the ABOUT page displays 3 executive head shots, when I really want to see the office space and creative staff. The good news is that you can show people the best aspects of your company with quality photography.
I recently shot a gallery of office life photos for Modsy, a company who offers 3d interior design services, to capture their employees and office culture. The goal was to showcase what life is like among the company’s creative and technical departments, and highlight the design sensibility of their office environment—this is the type of view most potential clients or employees are curious to see before diving into business. Offering a sense of the work space and company culture builds anticipation and story, and allows the seeker to picture herself working with you.
Why Are You The Right Company?
You offer a great product or service, there is no doubt about that. Now there needs to be a reason why you are the company of choice. Make that reason clear by telling the story of your workplace—make your company environment shine so that people want to work with you!
